SAFE HANDLING GUIDEProper Handling for Safe Use: Proper handling is important as some raw food products may contain bacteria that could cause illness to you or the animals you are feeding if the products are mishandled. For your protection please follow these directions: - Keep frozen until you are ready to use. - Before feeding defrost in the refrigerator or put the unopened food in warm water. - Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. - Wash working surfaces, utensils, cutting boards, feeding bowls, hands, and any items that touch or contact raw meat with hot soapy water. - Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard. - Thawed food can be stored in the refrigerator 2-3 days. |
